Surprise is two markets in one city. In Sun City Grand the question is usually how to make an existing pool cheaper to run and easier to get in and out of. In Marley Park, Asante and Greer Ranch it is more often a new pool on a young lot, or finishing a backyard the builder left as gravel.
Arrowhead Deck and Pools does both. We design and build new pools, remodel and resurface existing ones, and replace the decking around them, across Surprise.

Full design and build, sized to the lot rather than to a template.

Reshaping steps and benches, new tile and coping, and updating equipment on a pool that is structurally sound.

Pool remodeling and reshaping covers reshaping steps and benches, new tile and coping, and updating equipment on a pool that is structurally sound.

Plaster, pebble and quartz. Pool resurfacing and replaster is the most common single job on an older Surprise pool, and usually the cheapest way to make it feel new.

Automation is worth its own conversation on an older pool. It is often the single change that most reduces day to day effort.

A pool built twenty years ago takes more looking after than one built today, and most of that gap is the equipment rather than the pool itself. Modern variable speed pumps, better filtration and proper automation reduce both the power the system draws and the amount of hands-on time the pool needs.
If the reason you are thinking about a remodel is that the pool has become a chore, say so when you use our calculator to estimate your project cost. It changes what we recommend. Resurfacing in a smoother finish, simplifying the water features, and putting the system on a controller you can run from your phone often matters more than reshaping anything.
We build and remodel throughout Surprise, including Marley Park, Sun City Grand, Asante, Greer Ranch and Litchfield Manor.

Surprise requires permits for pool construction and for most structural deck work. Several of the communities above have architectural review as well, and the active adult communities tend to have the stricter rules on noise, working hours and access. We pull the permits, prepare what the review process asks for, and work to the community’s hours.
Often just the equipment. A variable speed pump, better filtration and automation you can run from your phone take most of the daily effort out of it, and that is a much smaller job than a remodel. If the plaster is also rough or staining, doing both at once saves a second mobilization. We will tell you which one you actually need.
Usually yes. Adding or widening an entry step, putting in a bench at the shallow end, and adding a rail are all doable during a resurfacing job without changing the pool's footprint. It is one of the more common requests we get in the active adult communities.
Yes. Several Surprise communities restrict working hours, deliveries and where trucks can park. Tell us the community at the estimate and we build the schedule around those rules rather than discovering them on day one.
