We demoed the old steps and built a new 7-by-11 Baja shelf with steps, plus an added corner bench, all shaped in shotcrete so they are a permanent part of the pool, then refinished the whole interior in mini pebble. The waterline was retiled in Blue Dot and a multi-color LED light went in.
The surrounding deck was stripped and refinished in stone-texture coating with a new stain color, and we added a wider deck drain so the surface sheds water and stays dry. County permitting and asbestos testing were handled as part of the job, standard on older Scottsdale pools.
